Back From Paris, Rome and Brussels!

Yes, I've been away for a few days, but now I'm back!  It wasn't at all sure that I'd get here as the trains were on strike, but I was lucky - mine was the only one going from Paris to Limoges yesterday.  My lovely friend Sue picked me up from the station in Limoges, as the connecting train to Le Dorat wasn't running. She also made me dinner - thanks Sue!

I went to Paris, Brussels, Rome and Paris - in that order.  Saw both my sons and had my birthday (last Wednesday) in Paris in the morning and Rome in the evening.  Almost certainly that will never happen again!

Now I'm home again, packing up the house and preparing to spend 6 months in England - leaving on the first of November.  I'll be keeping up this blog, but my Chez Penny blog is now defunct as I have closed the shop.

On the train home I made some coasters, using the pincushion pattern, but in half-treble.  As I had neither stuffing nor buttons, they couldn't become pincushions, so coasters they are!
I actually think the next pincushions will be done in htr too, as the finished result is tighter and smaller.  I'll give it a try later.

We were in France last week and were only saying how lucky it was that it wasn't this week or we'd be there yet!! What a way to spend a birthday eh?!! Hope you will enjoy your time back in UK and look forward to hearing how you find it all! We love it and France was more appreciated as a visit knowing we didn't have to stay for ever!
