...so I should be home on the second...
I'm not looking forward to it. Not the leaving. Not the journey. Not the arriving in France. Not the working on the house. Not the clearing out of the clutter. Not any of it. Not to mention packing up everything in this little cottage, making good the holes where I've hung pictures; touching up the paintwork...
But it has to be done. I've done a lot of things in the last few years that I didn't want to do and wouldn't have looked forward to if I had know they were coming...
I just hope I can sell the properties fairly quickly and buy a permanent place in Bishops Waltham...

Bon courage and I do so hope you sell your house without too many hassles!
Hope all goes well with all your jobs and that the house sells - in different circumstances (like actually having some money!) I would buy a property in France.
I think you're very brave. I do so hope all goes well for you.
Living in the USA far from my family, even after all these years here I have the urge to move back to the UK. Could never afford to buy a place, just rent.

Oh, well done to you for getting on and doing it, though. Actually, for me it will be quite nice to know that you're back over here, at least for a while!
I was sorry to see that your little shop closed. I did enjoy the journey along with you, though. Life goes on and we must go with it.
P.S. I had lost your blog for awhile, somehow found it amongst the info within my blog set up (the one about the little shop). Glad I have found you again.
Thank you for helping me find the pattern to my doily.
I hope you have a safe and swift journey to France and back and things go smoothly for you. Fingers crossed your house will sell quickly.
Thinking of you Penny
Cheers
