Bayleaves and so on...

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments on my last post about drying Bay leaves.  The general consensus was to hang them upside-down and leave them to it.  Which I have now done...

Drying bay leaves

The weather has been hot, hot hot here - as in all of Europe, I think.  But my grass has kept on growing - because my mower was broken!

My grass needs cutting!

But I got it back yesterday evening, so today is the day the lawn gets a haircut! Hopefully, after that the weather will be too dry for it to grow quite so fast!

I'm just waiting for 9 am to arrive as I feel I can't make an awful noise with my mower before that!

I think you need a couple of goats.

I'm with Elizabeth....you need something to help you. We used to have free range guinea pigs that did a pretty good job too :-)
Stay cool.

Our grass always grows faster when the lawn mower is broken! I like the idea of a goat too, as long as they don't eat everything in sight. Thank you for your advice on the carrots. My sons thinks that is exactly what the problem might be - pesky ants.

Oh, goats will eat everything--I'm sure you know that. Even what you don't want eaten, like trees, flowers, veggies, etc.
