No change there, then!
I love making fingerless mittens, in case you haven't guessed, and these are the latest couple of pairs. The pink and purple ones are my own handspun...
...and these are made with a marly grey-green Phildar yarn with the pretty colour name of Fjord...
The pattern is my own, which you can download FREE from Ravelry here.
Last Sunday I went to a Brocante des Brodeuses in Bellac, where a local craft group were selling their finished items as well as the bits and bobs to make things. I didn't take any pictures, but the local paper here had an article about it...
That room you can see in the background was choc-a-bloc full of tables of amazing bargains!
I bought a few balls of Phildar SOFIL yarn that I thought would be great in mittens - and at 50 cents a 50g ball it wouldn't break the bank. When I got home, however, I discovered it was not DK but 4ply. But, all was not lost as the 75% wool 25% acrylic mix was PERFECT for socks!
So here is the beginning of the first pair, and I am making these on two circular needles, as I think it gives a better finish and is easy to do once you get used to it.
I would like to do the mittens on two circulars too, but I don't have two in the 4mm size...YET...

Your own hand-spun! I am very impressed. The colors are beautiful.
G'day Penny. I just love the mittens you gave me when I was in Paris. I wore them often during our winter and received many comments on them. Take care. Liz...
