I'm up to (or should it be down to) the heel of the second one, so I should soon have a nice new pair of socks!!
I've been baking today. Some cupcakes...
... and a chocolate cake that's not finished yet. I know the cupcakes are OK, but the chocolate cake didn't rise much, so I wonder if I've left out some vital ingredient! Ah well...
On with the ironing now...

The raising agent perhaps? I have done that especially in France where I never quite got to grips with the flours and used plain for everything adding baking powder when I wanted self raising! Sock/s look cosy and warm.
I echo Marigold Jam...French flour needed a boost!

You have been busy Penny, the sock is lovely. I'm not going to look at the cupcakes because I'm dieting now and don't want to lose the momentum.

OK I'll include Spanish flour in the category too what they used to sell at least . They have been selling a better self-raising recently and seems to have more boost to it.
That sock looks decidedly warm....nice!
