The End of Summer

I think it must be the end of Summer.

When I went out this morning the swallows were all assembling on the phone and electricity lines, ready to go off for the winter.
By this afternoon they were gone.

It certainly is colder now, although it was bright this morning and, although there was rain this afternoon, it was still not cold. In fact, because the electricians were in the house, I sat and crocheted outside, under the abri, this afternoon, after I had cut the lawn.

I managed to cut the grass just before it rained, and I piled up the clippings along the field edge, so that the cows could eat them. Last time they ate everything.

Anyway, the electricians have left for the moment. Of course, everything is not finished - there is one room to go, but they reckon they will be back in 2 or 3 weeks...

But it is nice to have plug sockets in the kitchen instead of lots of trailing leads into banks of extension cables. Also the central lights are now installed, and a light under the cupboards.
Fantastic.

Good. Sounds like another trying part of house renovation is out of the way then.

Hope you're feeling better for it.
