It seems a long time since I posted - and much has happened...

I went to England to get some things from my mother's house. She died many years ago but her husband has just gone into a home and the house now has to be sold to pay the fees. There were some mementos - pictures I'd stitched for her, photos of generations-ago relatives, lots of cottons and stitchy stuff....so I had to get these before they were dispatched to a Charity shop - and I was also able to spend some time with my daughter and granddaughter, which was lovely.

I also spent a day with my friend Joan (who will be here next week) and squeezed in a short visit with Richards parents. Then I picked up my friend Janet (who I met on the Chateau course last October) and we drove back over here! So it was all go!

Janet and I both got colds but still managed to get out and about a bit...

...here she is on the viaduct at L'Isle Jordain.

She managed to teach me how to spin on my Ashford wheel, and to card and ply too! Brilliant. Now all I have to do is practise. Thank you so much Janet!!!

The weather was lovely, although still with a chilly breeze most days, so we were very lucky. Today she flew back and will probably be glad of a rest.
