Frogs Legs

I'd just finished my post about the new socks and went to pull up some water from the well to water the plants in pots. It's been a hot day today and they all needed a drink. One day I'll assemble my electric pump and everything will be simple and quick... meanwhile it's throw down a bucket on a rope and haul it up again.

This time it came up and the water was struggling - well, that's what it looked like - until the frog stopped leaping about...
...I poured out some of the water to get this shot, and then some more, to try for a close-up.

It's a little blurry, but I blame that on monsieur frog, who was a teeny bit camera shy. I guess he was as surprised as I was!

And, yes, I put him back - us vegetarians don't eat frog's legs...
