OK - so I'm not exactly pushing up daisies, but I have been churning them out at quite a rate.... ....pincushion daisies that is. I loved the Dahlia pincushion pattern from The Patchwork Orange, but it was a little more complicated than I wanted, and didn't seem to look good in my left-over acrylics from the Granny Stripe Blanket. But I liked the idea of a flower-y pincushion, so I worked out a similar, but much easier, pattern. This is the result:
Edging in the contrast colour works well too...
I still like cotton best for this kind of thing (the blue and white one is in Twilleys Freedom DK cotton, but acrylic is OK and the pattern takes a very small amount so is great for left-overs! I got a bit carried away...
(... I actually made lots more than these.)
