Cakey!

The other day I read on Gina Ferrari's blog that she was hosting a 'virtual' Pink Friday party on the 28th October.  She is asking for donations of knitted or crocheted cakes which will be made into an enormous wig (yes - WIG) and will give a donation to Breast Cancer Care for every cake she receives.  I am aiming to make at least 6 to send to her, and plan to do a little fund-raising of my own by making even more cakes and selling them on my blog on that same day.

So remember the date - Friday 28th October 2011.

Now let me show you the ones I've made so far for Gina...

doughnuts

...3 doughnuts - I particularly like the Fairisle one, which is supposed to represent feather icing...

Iced doughnut, close

...and I LOooove the pastry tart - look out for more of these!
