Many thanks to all of you who sent loving and supportive messages - they really did make a difference.
I have to say that hospital food IS all they say it is - Jamie, where are you????...but that the treatment I received couldn't have been bettered. Surgeons, doctors, nurses, tea-trolley ladies, floor swiffer lady - I love you all!
Normal Blogging will be resumed as soon as possible...

Glad all went well and that you are safely home again. Take care of yourself and make the most of this recuperative time relaxing. I guess the medical care is more important than the food especially for short stays but I can't understand why they can't get their act together and produce some simple nourishing food.
