Gramps Cardigan for Max

I found this rather lovely blue yarn, which I think will be perfect for Max.  The pattern is made all in one piece, which is great for me as I hate the sewing-up bit, and it seems relatively easy so far.

The 18 months size doesn't have much of the trellis pattern, but I guess it will look OK when finished...

...and I like the fact that the back is pretty plain - less pattern angst and a better fit too, I think.

Fab pattern. That should make him a really cosy jacket and what a lovely colour too.

G'day Penny. Sorry to hear about your MIL. I hope the weather is not too bad in the UK for you. That's a nuisance to have the pipes burst. Must have been extremely cold. It's still our summer here in Australia and in the state where I live, it's going to be in the high 20's for a few days, then it gets into the mid 30's for the rest of next week. Oh well, there is nothing we can do about it. Trouble is I am not a summer person. I have always prefered the cooler months, but we won't see them here yet for a while and I shouldn't be complaining, usually at this time of year we have temperatures in the low to mid 40's, so I guess it's not that bad after all. Apart form the up coming funeral, I hope the rest of your stay in the UK is a good one.Take care. Liz...
