saturDay Out

Yesterday I went to Chauvigny, which is just under an hour away from me. They have a really good Saturday market and I've been there a few times over the years.

Yesterday it was difficult to park, because the circus was in town and the Big Top was erected on the car park.  There were two elephants outside, doing their bit for marketing...

...it was not a hot day (although I guess elephants are happy to be hot) and they seemed very quiet and contented.

I parked right at the end of town and, after the market was over I bought a sandwich (read baguette in France) and ate it in the park next to the Parking.  There was a great view of the castle, with the rooks flying around it...

When I got home I had a phone call from some friends who invited me round for dinner!  So a good day all round!

Sounds like a nice day. We often have circuses in our town, and I dont like to see the animals paraded through the towns in cages to advertise.

Hi Penny,

Ahh, that looks like a great day.

Chauvigny looks like it would be a great place to visit.

It's not too often you see elephants in town. Not around here anyways.

Hope all is well.

cheers
