Flowers Can Be Fluffy!

Since yesterday I have been making slightly larger brooches - by working row 2 twice - and using a thread of Kidsilk Haze or Kidsilk Night (I love the little bit of sparkle in this one) along with another yarn.

I particularly like the grey ones, which are done with the kidsilk night and a Phildar lurex yarn. You can see the brooch better here...

I like the MOP buttons in the centre - I think they give a little bit of a vintage look to the brooches - but you could equally well use a pretty bead.

The mauve brooch is made with a pure silk yarn and a fluffy grey yarn...
