Oh No - Not Again...

Yes - another Amari shawl! I did warn you that there would be more.  I just hope I can sell them at the Curdridge Show in July. I now have quite a pile...

This one is in a pale pink, with a brown edging and is made from ICE yarn, a blend with 40% baby alpaca, 35% merino wool and 25% acrylic.  I see that the pink has disappeared from their web site now, so I guess it's all sold out.



The yarn is light and warm and the finished shawl is like a cobweb - it's beautiful!  I edged the lace edging with the same yarn, in brown...

I used the yarn double, on 4.5mm needles and it worked out OK.  It was a bit resistant to blocking - I'm not sure why.  Anyone else found alpaca a bit springy?
