The phone was still not working this morning, so my son rang them again for me. As a result I received a call from SFR on my mobile and the guy talked me through everything we did yesterday - AGAIN! Finally, he said there was definitely no problem with the internet box, no problem with the line, so it MUST be my phone. He asked me to take it to a neighbour and test it out.
This I duly did and, of course, it worked fine! My son rang SFR again and this time spoke to a girl who said I would need a new box and she would send one in the post (they take 2 - 3 weeks). I tend to think this is just an example of delaying tactics.
About half an hour later I found the phone was working again.
It is intermittent though, it seems... ...but at least the internet seems a bit faster.
Moving swiftly on, before you nod off from boredom, I have another hat to show you (number 5) and I have just started on the last one, in a child size, so it shouldn't take long to knit up. Here's the latest one, although it is proving very difficult to capture the colour. It is a blend of a grey DK with a sparkle and a white 4ply, also with a sparkle. The result is almost bluish and the camera does not like it...
The next one is palest pink...

G'day Penny.Glad you got the phone working again. The hat looks lovely. Take care. Liz...
Our phone wire used to brush against the house next door on windy days and this broke down the line conection on occasions but it took them ages to work that one out! Eventually they rerouted the line...now who would have thought of doing that?...answer...A woman of course :-)
Hugs,
A x
ps I can see the steam coming off your knitting needles from here :-)
