Storm Warning

I started a new shawl today.  A lovely pattern called Storm Warning.

It is knitted sideways, and has a lovely cable and lace edge.

Cable, close

I haven't got very far with it yet, but it is an easy pattern...

Storm Warning, start

I'm not putting beads on it, as I thought that might make the edge rather heavy.  Also, I didn't have any suitable ones and wanted to get started on it right away!

I'm using a 50/50 superwash merino and tencel blend (from Susan's Spinning Bunny), which is light and silky and in beautiful shades of blue.

Maybe you could add beads later...if it needs them. It's a pretty pattern.
