Today I went over to Blond for a spinning lesson at Ma Petite Laine - a shop owned by a lady I know well.
I went over last Wednesday to fix a date, but Bente was busy with some visitors and so I just made a date for today. While I was there I took some photos of her amazing things (I especially loved the teacosies), but quite forgot to share them with you!
The shop is like an Aladdin's cave...
...and there is something new added every time I go.
Unfortunately we had our wires crossed and she hadn't realised that I had come for a spinning lesson, but just thought I had come to arrange a course for a group of (other) people. So no spinning was done today! Never, mind, we had coffee and a good chat and re-arranged for next Tuesday morning.
As I was more than halfway to my friend Debra's house (she of the sheep carousel tea cosy fame) I gave her a ring and went over to spend most of the rest of the day with her. As she is also my hairdresser, she cut and coloured my hair for me and now I look 10 years younger!
Thank you Debra for working the magic!

Ooh, Penny, the auburn really suits you :)
The shop is so typically French..ane big muddle! no doubt she knows just where to find everything. I hope you get your spinning lesson soon.
Nice hair.
G'day Penny. You look just beautiful Penny. Love the cut and colour, it really does suit you. Take care. Liz...
It was great to see you Penny, I am so glad you rang and came over. As for the magic, well it's easy to work magic when you have a good subject to start with xxxxx
You look good! I'm feeling very old today, maybe I need a hair cut too. :-)
Loving the new hair do Penny. It looks really lovely. It's given your face a nice healthy glow x
Lovely new hairdo, wish I was a bit braver and to dared get it cut, as it is heading back down to my waist again!
I could spend a few happy hours in that brilliant shop.
Carol xx
