Real Yarn and the Knitting Thereof...

Today I have bitten the bullet. All that yarn spun and nothing knitted.

So I chose my favourite colour (the Christmas turquoise) and wound it into a ball on my Royal ball winder.  Now it looks like REAL YARN!!!!

Real yarn 2

Real yarn 1

It weighs 98 grammes and I just hope that'll be enough.  I'm going to make Hannah Fettig's Simple Beret.

I've made it once before and it turned out really well. Very easy, quick to make.

Watch this space...

thankyou for your tree comment...alas, there's so much fallen wood here in Dorset this year I think it greatly outnumbers all the tree carvers.
I love the wools that you're spinning, I think I'd love them best just as yarn, without ever needing to make a garment.
Happy new year

Gorgeous yarn! I just knit Hannah's beret as a Christmas gift (bright red) and it's a lovely pattern. Enjoy.

Beautiful colours. Just gorgeous. And it really does look very professional. Your spinning practice is clearly paying off!

Penny, somehow my Google reader lost you, and I've been thinking you weren't blogging. But then I followed the link from your comment on Elaine's blog and not only have you been blogging all this time you've been spinning too! Your homespun yarns are delicious, as is that beret. I'm in awe of your accomplishment! :D
