Knee Rugs

It's been a bit chilly here lately and I usually sit near the fire with a rug over my knees in the evenings - Granny style!

But the rug of choice was an old picnic-type blanket - the tartan type with the fringes - and it was really too big, so I would fold it in four.. and then it was a bit heavy and those **** fringes were very annoying.

So I cut it into four pieces, trimmed off the fringes and crocheted round the edges.  Voila! 4 little knee rugs!

It only took one evening to do three pieces and I just have the fourth to finish.

I used some acrylic DK that I had in my stash and made up the edgings as I went along!

Do pop over to Natural Suburbia and see what other people have been creating!

What a great idea Penny! I have one of those blankets but it has been stolen by one of my dogs for her bed! I do like what you've done around the edges though, very pretty! You're so creative!
Big hugs Sharon in Spain xx
