Earth Day

Apparently - it's Earth Day.  So Google tells me...

...there are six images of - shall I just call them fauna? - that you can click through by pressing the reload button, such as a Puffer fish, a dung beetle and a jellyfish.

So - in honour of said Earth Day, I'm going to show you what is pushing up through the earth in my garden today!

Firstly, my pumpkin seeds are FINALLY growing...

... and the garlic cloves are romping away, though you can't see them very well in this photo!

Garlic cloves sprouting

In a few days I'll be able to plant them out in the potager.  They'll be companions for the two that I transplanted from the compost heap when I was first planting the potager...

So far I only have a few vegetables in the potager - Broccoli, Cabbage, Potatoes and Lettuce...

In the rest of the garden there are flowers galore and the blossom trees have already finished their flowering.

In this blue box there is a lovely mix of daffodils and tulips still flowering and there are some De Caen anemones which are just about to flower...
