1st August

So - the first of August! Summer is here today and everyone is happier for it. The Limousin is full of tourists, and there is a monthly market on in Bellac, which was interesting. I bought some buttons for Molly's latest cardigan, and a red hat for her - embroidered with cherries.

...so whatever the weather, Molly will have something to wear from this parcel.

In the garden the warm weather has certainly got the moles going! Over the last week or so they've been making molehills at a rate of knots.

This afternoon the workmen returned, and put the outside tap inside.

Then, at about half-past nine there was a terrific thunder and lightning storm and huge hailstones that I thought would break the Velux windows!
