Plants from PPP Plantes

I celebrated Leap Year in traditional fashion, with a trip to a plant nursery. What - that's not traditional? Well it should be.

I bought some poppies - Patty's Plum (which I have been lusting after for many years)

Perry's White (my brother is sometimes called Perry)

and one called Pink Ruffles,

which sounds lovely. In England I just had the plain oriental orangey-red one, but it was spectacular so long as we didn't get a prolonged wet spell.

I also bought some hardy geraniums (I always love those, especially The Mourning Widow)

and Penstemon 'Evelyn', a pot of marguerites and some alliums.

All I have to do now is find a place in the garden for them all (as well as the plants I bought from them last summer...)

We also went to Isle Jourdain garden centre, where they sell other plants, and trees - I bought a pot and a couple of pretty primroses (scented) which I will plant up tomorrow, and I'm going back for some fruit trees very soon...
