19th June 2008 - A Visit To Gilbert White's House

I fly back tomorrow, but today Tor and I made the most of my last day here with a visit to Gilbert White's house in Selborne. It wasn't too far away, and the weather stayed fine despite some black clouds at times.

The house was lovely and the garden was beautiful. Lots of lovely roses, as well as other plants. There was also a kitchen garden, although not walled, with fruit and vegetables.

I really loved the moss roses - they look as if they have been sprayed with little fluffy bits.
