Knitting Course in a Chateau

So, I'm writing this in a chateau near Poitiers, in France. It is in a little village - St Julien de L'Ars.

The course is a week with tuition by Debbie Abrahams and Jane Crowfoot - and it's great!!!!!

The tuition is really good, the location is beautiful and the food is fantastic!!

The course is organised by Kangaroo, an Internet yarn shop.

So far we've had lots of great instruction and I've learnt loads. At the moment I'm making a little bag...

...and this was the progress I had made this afternoon.

Yesterday we had a day visit to Poitiers, where there is a really good wool shop, and tomorrow (Saturday) we have a morning at Chauvigny market. I've been to the market once before, but never looked around the town.

The course is part course and part holiday, and it is a great break. All the people are terrific and it's so good to have people to talk to who have a common interest.
