Best Bread Yet

- I think!

I haven't actually tried it yet (it's still cooling) but it looks and smells pretty good.

I have to confess I've pretty well given up with the French flour - it just doesn't seem to be homme enough for the job, and I used Doves organic white flour for this loaf. Also I used the Fast Bread recipe for the first time (1 hour and 20 mins instead of 3 hours 18 mins!). I just felt the machine spent so much time stopping and starting and heating and resting on the 'normal' programme that it actually made the bread worse.


Had to be done - I've just cut it and eaten a slice!

...and it IS delicious! Definitely the best loaf yet.
