Fresh Snow

It's like living in Camelot - fresh snow falls every night and I wake up to a winter wonderland of clean, fresh whiteness. All trace of human occupation gone - no wellington boot prints or wheelbarrow tread marks, just cottony white in every direction...

...only rabbit tracks to show there is any living soul here...

...and,of course, the birds who are coming in droves for the sunflower and other seed I put out on the bird table yesterday.

There was a pair of chaffinches...

..and this one is a robin, picking up the fallen seed. There was a pair of magpies doing the same thing earlier, but they saw me move at the window and flew off.

That's a pretty good snow for you all across the pond. Have fun with it. We are getting 12 new inches today here outside of Chicago. Word from the garage just now is the snowblower just died... icks... gotta run
