Ta Da! The first one is finished! Here it is:
It is lined with felt and has felt 'pages' for the needles...
...with the maker's label in the back.
It closes simply by winding the tiny, pure silk ribbon around the handmade ceramic button.
Incidentally the button was made by Debbie Abrahams' mum, and I bought it when I was on the Kangaroo knitting course at the Chateau of St Julian de l'Ars in October 2008.

It's lovely - love the pretty button fastening.

Love the closure idea. It looks very tactile, it's a good job it's not mine. It would be all bobbly from me stroking it. lol.
Thank you both. Mind you, I haven't many suitable buttons like this so I'm going to have to revert to those old Mother-of-Pearl ones...
I like that a lot. The texture is fantastic!
I've just done a post with final questions for the Magazine Swappers. Could you pop over and let me know what you think, please?
Thanks for stopping by...I love the felted heart and now I have another project to do with my felted sweaters! Wish you could have been there! :) Laura
