A Cracking Laugh for €4.99

Went into Lidl today to get some more bread mixes with sunflower seeds (they're great!) and bought a DVD of Wallace and Gromit for only €4.99. Of course, the cover was all in French, but my French is not bad and I thought that, even if the DVD was in French only, I could probably understand it. It was Le Mystère du Lapin-Garou, which in English is entitled The Curse of the Were-Rabbit.

IT WAS GREAT!

I haven't laughed so much for ages.

I don't want to give away the story, but this is Wallace, trying to lose weight on a vegetable diet...

...and this is him having tea with Lady Tottington...

...of Tottington Hall, where they have a bit of a rabbit problem that threatens to ruin the annual Vegetable Show.

I don't often go into Lidl but it was certainly fortuitous today, as they only had two copies of the video. It is probably the best money I have ever spent, and I laughed most of the way through.

I don't have a TV or video player, so I play DVDs through my laptop, which resides on one settee while I sit on the other and watch.

It's very funny...

...you should watch it...

Oh - and there was a choice of English, French and Arabic for the languages, so tonight I watched it in English.

Tomorrow I'm going to watch the French version.

No - I'm not going to watch in Arabic, although I can count up to 10 and say 'shut the door' in that language!
