Parcel From Oz

What a lovely surprise!  I came home and found this parcel in my letterbox...

Buttons and Bows parcel

...it's from Quilterliz, my partner in the Buttons and Bows swap organised by  ElizabethD of French Village Life.

It's come all the way from Australia!

Such pretty things -  some wooden buttons of Australian mammals and I particularly love this Koala...

Also some material with similar animals on, that gives me all sorts of ideas.

Liz also sent some beautiful lace butterflies (I foresee one of these on a little bag for my granddaughter) and some giant-size ric-rac, which will be perfect for decorating a cushion!

The lovely length of pale blue lace makes me think of lingerie, but I think it may be perfect for adorning a little doll's dress, maybe in blue watered silk.

Thank you Liz - all the things are lovely!

What a nice surprise! The lacy butterfly cutouts are my favorite. The buttons are cute, too!

Thanks for your comments on my blog. That certainly does go some way to explaining the Followers / Subscribers confusion :)

Like your cute buttons! What a nice parcel to receive.
