Baby Bunny in a Basket

No gardening today.  It has been so cold I had to light the fire and I've been sitting in front of it finishing Baby Bunny.

Baby Bunny in a Basket

I decided not to make the blanket in the pattern, as the bunny looked cute uncovered.  I crocheted a loopy chain edging for the pillow, making it quite narrow, and crocheted the edging for the basket too, as I thought it would be daintier than knitting.  I also changed the basket handles, using i-cord, which I thought would stand up to little hands better than a twisted cord...

Baby Bunny in a Basket 2

I'm VERY pleased with it, although it took more time to make this than the whole of the Mother Bunny. Great result though!  Now I just have to decide which of Wendy's toys to make next...

What a sweet little basket and bunny! And fancy our Charlotte Mason collection - I thought that mentioning it would unearth some other former students, but of course I didn't know who! I remember Springfield. I have to say that I enjoyed being at CM after university - it was a really different year, but not what I would have wanted all the way through. Did you travel far to do your teaching practice? We used to get on coaches and travel for ages...
