This is the first time I have properly blocked anything I've made. A terrible admission I know, but this has mainly been because I just did not have anywhere that I cold pin the item out, damp it and leave to dry. Then, a few weeks ago I bought a pile of childrens' foam 'jigsaw' mats for €2 at a local brocante...
..so this is the result of my first blocking experience...
I certainly think it is vastly improved by blocking.
I am only 24 rows away from the lace edging to the second Amari now...

It does give a better finish, I don't often do it though!
