Now that I've had a couple of days to recover from driving back, I thought I'd show you a few pictures of the market I DID manage to do, in Herne Hill, London. The market was just running for the summer, and I was lucky to get a stall at short notice. The organisers provided the stall and a couple of tables - all for £25 - which was brilliant. My son and his wife helped me set up and man the stall, and we did very well.
The stall had a front and a back, but no-one else turned up so I had both sides for the same money!
This was the table at the front - manned by my daughter-in-law...
...and this was the back table...
I had also brought a small table, which we put at the side...
...and a vintage cake stand on which to display my cupcake pincushions...
Strangely enough, the cupcake pincushions were the poorest sellers - I wonder if people actually thought they were real cakes?
That Sunday was the first warm and sunny day that there had been for a while and people were out in force to enjoy the sun. That made for lots of customers! I was the only craft stall there, and made lots of sales. Always nice!
