It doesn't open until 12 noon - too early to lunch first - so we went into the town centre afterwards to try and find a café open on a Sunday afternoon. Not an easy task in this part of France. We found a lovely little place, called the Café Bleu - right in the centre - which had just opened (they got the keys on Wednesday)...
...and had a baked potato and a coffee there. I'll certainly go again - the owners, a young English couple, were very friendly and the food was good.
It is, apparently, the oldest building in the town and very picturesque...
Afterwards we tried to find a Brocante, which apparently is just outside the town every Sunday afternoon. We never did find it but, as it started to rain, it was not conducive to wandering round what was probably a field, anyway! Better luck next time, and I'm sure a return visit to the café will be called for!

How interesting to see the town where we lived (actually we lived in La Bretagne but it is almost part of St Junien) neither of the places you visited were there in my time though I recognise the new blue cafe. Must look them both up next time we visit.
I'm amazed at how many English people have opened cafes and restaurants in France.
G'day Penny. That cafe looks lovely. Yes, I am sure a return visit would be in order. Take care. Liz...
