Wild and Windy

No, not me - the weather!

It's blowing a hooligan outside, but here I am, cosy and warm inside, with the woodburner filled with oak logs and all nice and warm.

My latest acquisition - a nativity scene for the princely price of €2.99 is all set out on the mantlepiece above the fire. It's a very modern piece as Mary appears to be a single mother and the three kings haven't made it at all, no doubt due to leaves on the line or snow delaying traffic on the camel route.

I do love the little animals - most on wheels, which must have been quite a novelty at the time and the baby Jesus in his manger is also on wheels, which must make it easier for Mary to walk him up to the shops for a loaf of bread...

Nativity Scene 2012

I particularly like the angel, who has a basket of start-shaped biscuits - a lovely thought for the hungry stable occupants!  Hope that greedy pig doesn't get his snout in!l!

Wonderful! Raised a smile here where it is also wet and windy.

Love your nativity scene........I'm thinking I could quite do with a set of wheels of my own at the moment, especially while shopping in the food aisle with a wonky trolley.

Have a good Christmas Penny, and all the best for the New Year. x

That's imaginative! I like the little details. I wonder if Joseph will turn up later?

Wet here too - not so windy, though.
