Shawl Fever

Seems I have it!

I've blocked the one I've just knitted as well as the one I showed you a peek of yesterday!

This is the sneak peek one - for this I plied together a skein of Noro sock yarn and a fine linen/silk mix...

The edging is a mixture of a blue-grey silky yarn and a Rowan kidsilk mohair.  I love the colour of this one, which I describe as a pastel sunset...

Now I'm making a beret from the Simple Beret pattern with the remainder of the yarn.

I was just looking at the first shawl on Flickr and wondering which noro you had used but now I see that you plied it with another yarn to get that lovely effect. It just makes the self striping a bit more subtle. It is gorgeous
