Sun Power!
Another newspaper clipping from the Daily Express 1946 - I'm not sure this invention has not already been put into practice - with the sun being diverted away from Europe...
...although today started out sunny, there are big grey clouds coming over!

Harnessing the sun sounds like a very sensible plan to me, although we seem to be basking in warm sunshine here today.
