By the time the lightning started, the clouds were very black, and the sheet lightning illuminated the whole mountain ridge at times. There were also bolts of vivid fork lightning. Unfortunately, not often enough for me to get a photo.

Another Lovely Day
Today is another lovely day... but last night we sat in the garden (Giles, Fi, me, Pat and Edward) watching a spectacular lightning storm over the mountains of Blond. Before Pat and Edward came round, the three of us were watching the cloud building up as we ate our dinner.
By the time the lightning started, the clouds were very black, and the sheet lightning illuminated the whole mountain ridge at times. There were also bolts of vivid fork lightning. Unfortunately, not often enough for me to get a photo.
