Un-making the Bed

Marcus, my son-in-law, is about 6'6", and the bed in the spare room is 6'4". This would not be so much of a problem if it was a divan bed, but it's one of those old-fashioned ones with a head and foot. Very pretty to look at, painted white and with decorative barley-sugar twists, but not so good to lie in if you're longer than the actual bed itself!

So today I took the bull by the horns, and the jigsaw in both hands, and cut off the end of the bed!

It used to look like this:

...poor stumpy little thing...

But I'll get some paint tomorrow and paint over the cut end and it'll be good as new!

So, Marcus, no more excuse for not coming over here with Tor and Molly...
