Summer is (almost) Definitely a-Comin' In

Yes, it's true - the first of the grue (cranes) flew over today. Local tradition says that their visit coincides with the start of summer, so off with those thermals and on with.... well, actually, it's still the wood-burning stove, because it's p_r_e_t_t_y cold here today.

They did seem a little confused - at first they were flying neatly in their Red Arrows formation, but then something happened (maybe icing-up on the wings, or a stray snowball hit the leader) and they began to wheel and turn in confused circles. I reckon they flew over a frozen lake, and thought it best to turn and head for home...
