Back in France - and Painting

So.... I'm back!  The journey was a bit of. a nightmare, as the ferry was freezing cold, and I didn't get any sleep.  Fortunately the drive down France was easy with not much traffic on the roads, and good weather.

Back home I looked at the house with new eyes and thought it a terrible mess, so yesterday I got stuck straight in with painting and decorating - and reorganising.

I started by taking down the kitchen cupboards and shelving that I had  a carpenter make last year and never liked.  Then I painted the end wall and moved the little blue dresser into the space where the cupboards had been.

dresser - final

I ran out of paint, so today I went to Eco Entrepot, hoping they still had the same batch of that colour - and they did.  So I'm now using the WIFI at the Petite Fontaine in Le Dorat and then going home to paint the other half of the wall - over the sink.

Seems my phone and Internet will be ready in about 3 weeks, so I will be posting quite infrequently, I think, until then.

Welcome back to sunny France. Hope you get the phone fixed soon but knowing FT it may take a while.

It looks like a gorgeous colour, I suppose at least you'll be able to get on without the distractions of the internet and phone!
