Behind the Scenes at the Museum...

Well - in the café to be precise!

I had an appointment which was only a short Tube journey from the V&A, so I went on there afterwards.  I had a lovely time - starting AND ending in the café!

First I had lunch in the William Morris room...

...then I spent a few hours wandering round, looking at exhibits, the latest exhibition with the Crafts Council, and the bookshop and general shop, and then I wandered back to the café for tea and cake, this time in another of its rooms - all decorated in blue tiles representing the seasons and months of the year.  I had my tea and a piece of cake and sewed up my KNITTED cake...

I did buy a fantastic book in the shop - it's called Stitch London (though it's all knitting).

Obviously, since I only just bought it, I haven't had a chance to try out the patterns, but it looks GREAT!

You have indeed been busy! I was in that wonderful café with various blogging friends in June - how nice to think of you there now. Thanks for keeping us updated - I was thinking of you earlier today.

These so fantastic Penny.
I haven't been keeping up to date with your blog and have just read that you have been in hospital. I send my best wishes for a full and speedy recovery. I admire the way that you just get on with life as it nothing had happened. You are wonderful.
Are the cupcake and tarts made from my pattern that you purchased from me on Etsy? If so they have turned out brilliantly.
If you want any of my cake patterns for free to help with your money raising, please find me again on Etsy under cakescakescakes.
Take care
