Knitting up a Storm

Get it?  Storm, Tempest, Prospero, Miranda...  OK, in the words of the great Frankie Howerd, please yourselves!

Anyway, moving swiftly on, here's the second Miranda hat - in an adult size this time...

 Turquoise Miranda adult

I used a mixture of the same Rowan Cashmerino that I used for the first Amari shawl and a silky turquoise that I bought at a brocante.  In line with my current stash-busting diet!

Turquoise Miranda adult, close

And now for something completely different, I thought you'd just LOVE to see my newly-weeded potager and the two fennel plants (lovingly grown from seed by moi) that I planted yesterday evening...

Fennel, June 26

Hope the rabbits and slugs don't like fennel!

Gosh you have been busy in the garden and still have time for knitting? You really do have nore hours in your day [or maybe just a little more energy than me :-) ]
Hugs,

Oh my goodness, are you one of those rare breeds that can knit on one project entirely until it is done? You finish so many things! I should follow your example for once and not have so many WIPs going at once.

The yarn colours are really lovely.

Keep an eye out for slugs - i planted some lovely dahlias and they were attacked! One plant got eaten all the way back to the stem in two days. My garden is now covered in organic slug pellets!! I heard that crumbling up eggshells and sprinkling it in a ring around the plant can help too.
