Aurora Beret

Suddenly I seem to have had enough of scarf-shawls and started making berets!  Don't really know why - I just go where the whim takes me!

So far I have only made one - the Aurora beret, which is a child's beret from Woollywormhead.  I used the same baby alpaca that I used in the Piper's Journey shawls, but in a colourway called Sunset, which is an orangey-red.  It was a bit tricky getting the bobbles to all come out the same and in the end I altered the pattern for these to get a good consistency.  Here's the finished product...

Once I made up my own way of doing the bobbles, things were quite straightforward.  I love the pattern, even though the bobble rows are slow to do, and the little purl and hole pattern in between sets off the bobbles nicely...
