Another Gretel is also complete - this time using the Rowan Felted Tweed that I pulled back from the unsuccessful Beret/Tam which turned out too floppy and insubstantial.

I used the yarn double, which made it quite thick. But good for this pattern, I think. The original pattern states worsted, which I believe is equivalent to UK aran weight...

It blocked quite big, so will be a bit more slouchy, perhaps.
I'm now trying a mixture of the Felted Tweed and ICE Baby Alpaca. So far, so good I think.

Your needles are never still are they? Lovely gloves and the hat will keep somebody's head cosy this winter.
