Triple Beret

Firstly, a thank you to everyone who sent me kind birthday wishes! I managed to survive the day and am now even older by nearly a week!

Anyway, in that time I've finished three berets and started a fourth.  The green Rustling Leaves beret you saw last time looked like this when finished...

...in ICE yarns pure merino.

In the same yarn I have just finished a red one...

Red - top

Red - underside

..this yarn shows up the detail really well...

Then I made one in Posh Yarns Emily (which I also used to make a pair of fingerless mittens)...

Emily Monsoon yarn in RL beret 2

...this yarn not only does NOT show up the pattern well, but my camera refuses to reproduce the real colour which is very green and not at all grey!

I am now starting to make some berets in child sizes, beginning with the Molly Beret by Alana Dakos of Never Not Knitting, who also designed the Rustling Leaves berte.  It is in 4 ply sock yarn, so is slower going, but here it is so far...

Lacy edging

I do like this lacy edging, which is a welcome change from ribbing!

Do you sell the berets on etsy? You are making so many and all are beautiful.

You are knitting up a storm Penny and everything is so lovely.
I'm interested to see more of the child beret as I would like to knit one for my grand daughter to wear when ice skating.
Happy belated birthday. I hope you had a great day.

OK, so I am stupid - I have been wondering for a while where you get those circles for displaying your gorgeous berets- and only just realised they are plates. How dense can a woman be?
