Anyway, less of my gripes - here's the finished cowl...
...and this close-up shows you what I would have liked to see on the pattern...
All I had to go on was the chart...
...and from that, it looked as if I had got the pattern wrong.
But I hadn't, as I realised a few pattern repeats further on!
...and it was a free pattern so I can't really complain!
So here I am, wearing it...
Please look at the knitting - not me!
You may notice that I am wearing it with the pattern upside-down. This is because the cast-off edge turned out wider than the cast-on edge due to the type of cast-off I used, and seemed to fit on my shoulders better. If you don't compare it to the chart you would never know.

G'day Penny. Wow, it and you, both look just beautiful. You have done a lovely job of it Penny. It suits you also. Take care. Liz...
Penny, that's beautiful :)
Lavender seems to be my new favourite colour, combined with a lacy pattern - perfect !
I may have to have a go at this one myself.
BTW ...I used to live not far from you, in Salles-en-Toulon, nr. Chauvingy. Your posts bring back some wonderful memories.
It's really pretty, and the colour is lovely.
Beautiful! I look at the cowl and you. The pattern and the yarn suit you. And you will never suffer from a sore throat anymore!
It's lovely Penny and it really suits you too.
I could do with one of those. I am feeling very chilly here today.

Both the cowl and you look great. Everything you knit or crochet turns out beautifully. You have golden fingers xxx
