Sunshine in My Kitchen

Golly it's been a cold couple of days!  I've had to light both fires - the one in the living room AND the one in the kitchen, to avoid being frozen to death.

It's not something I do often, as it uses up the wood like nobody's business and I'm forever out in the wood shed, splitting logs and bringing more in.

So I was happily ensconced on the sofa, knitting, as usual (unless I'm crocheting) and it was finally warm enough to get up and out from under the fleecy blanket covering my knees and get a drink.  So, off into the kitchen to fire up the coffee machine...

...and suddenly the world seemed a much warmer place - the sun was out, and shining into the kitchen...

Though I think I still need the eiderdown that's against the back door to stop the draughts...

But doesn't everything seem better when the sun's shining!

Sun's out!

I think you need me to make one of my draught excluders - but a huge one for you I think.

You have such a lovely kitchen too Penny! I agree, when the sun is shining, even when it's cold outside, it certainly makes everything seem better!
Keep warm my dear!

G'day Penny. Your photos are lovely. That coffee maker looks interesting. It's amazing how the sun makes us feel better . Though here in my part of the world the sun is shining rather a bit too much for me at the moment. Our summer is threatening to be a scorcher. Oh well, nothing we can do about it. Take care. Liz...
